Pharma Rally
On 26th Nov’2012 pharma rally was organized by Odisha Pharmacy intellectual Forum in association with Odisha Pharmacy College Association. The rally was started from Ram Temple to lower PMG in Bhubaneswar. About to 1500 staffs and students of different pharmacy colleges from all corners of Odisha were participated in the pharma rally.
The rally was inaugurated by Sj. Kalpataru Das, Hon’ble Minister of Panchyat Raj, Odisha. Mr.Das was felicitated by Prof.(Dr) P.N. Murthy on behalf of the forum.
The rally was followed by submission of memorandum His Excellency, Hon’ble Governor, Odisha and Hon’ble Chief Minister, Odisha with seven demands for their kind perusal;
- Establishment of Pharmaceutical SEZ in Odisha
- Establishment of NIPER in Odisha
- Formation of Directorate of Pharmacy in Odisha
- Involvement of Pharmaceutical Sciences in Public Health Cadre
- Fill up of vacancy post in Drugs Controller Department
- Fill up of vacancy pharmacists post in PHC, CHC and other hospital as per Hatthi Committee report
- Appointment of Pharmacist in all Tribal Residential School.
After the repeated effort of OPIF, we have received a letter from the office of His excellency Governor of Odisha and also from Joint secretary, Ministry of Health & family Welfare Department, Govt. of odisha.
Joint secretary, Ministry of Health & family Welfare Department, Govt. of odisha has requested The Director of Health Services, Odisha "TO LOOK INTO THE MATTER PERSONALLY AND FURNISH A PROPOSAL AFTER DETAIL EXAMINATION OF THE MATTER WITH YOUR VIEWS TO THIS DEPARTMENT FOR TAKING NEEDFUL ACTION AT THIS END".
